The battle between iPhone and Windows Mobile

Hi, I’m an iPhone… And I’m a Windows Mobile 6.5.

The epic Microsoft-Apple battle for mobile phone OS dominance was just kicked up a notch. Microsoft has launched Windows Mobile 6.5. MS says it’ll be available in 20 countries by year’s end. As usual, it can run like mini-windows, running Word, Excel, play music and video. But taking a page out of Apple’s playbook, Microsoft this time has launched its own App Store. So far it has just 246 apps available compared to Apple’s 100,000+. Not really a game changer, more like playing catch up. But then Netscape said the same thing about Internet Explorer and look how that went.

  1. I just wanted to let you know, I really like the piece of writing on your web site. But I am using Flock on a machine running version 8.x of Xubuntu and the design aren’t quite right. Not a important deal, I can still basically read the articles and research for information, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of hard to apply with the config I’m running. Keep up the good work!
