Which one is better looking?
“District 9 Continues”, is a combination sci-fi and history movie combined. The basic plot is set in Johannesburg, South Africa, where an alien mothership has becomes stuck and is eventually raided with the sickly aliens, known as Prawns taken away and placed in seclusion. When the governent decides the Prawns are more trouble than they are worth, they are removed from their ghetto and put into a concentration camp. There is some very heavy, reflections of ugly history played out in a sci-fi arena.
Eventually, one of the humans, played by Sharlto Copley, accidently is sprayed by some alien fluid and begins to mutate. Before he can be taken into government custody to be “studied” he escapes and the once hated Pawns become his allies. Together, they work on understanding the DNA of the fluid, which takes 20 years,and is the only way to restart the ship.
The movie begins like a documentary and moves from there. though far from flawless, this movie is an attention grabber, which reinforces some very important themes in human history.
