Maybe your iPod froze up and won’t play music. Or it’s playing the same song over and over and you can’t figure out how to change the settings. You might be disheartened when you return to the original packaging and find that Apple doesn’t include instructions with its music players. But there’s good news.
Fortunately, nearly anything that can wrong with your iPod has already gone wrong with somebody else’s. And better yet, they’ve blogged about it. Do a simple Google search to find your answer to nearly any iPod-related problem you are having. You might be surprised at how quickly you’ll get your answer.

Repairing today’s technology is not a task that should be undertaken lightly. Gone are the days when a bit of know how and a soldering iron could fix just about anything. Modern devices, such as mobile phones and ipods, generally consist of a single circuit board that’s not really repairable. In most cases it is not even worth buying a replacement circuit board as, though they are often available, they generally cost more than a new device itself.
Sometimes external parts such as cases and buttons, or even antennae on mobile phones, can be replaced by someone with the knowledge and the will. In these cases, parts can be purchased new from either the manufacturer, or sometimes used on auction websites such as Ebay. People will buy non-working devices, take them apart, and sell the pieces, sometimes creating a parts supply where there otherwise would not be one. Be wary, however, as these people may or may not know how to correctly disassemble the device, and many times auction descriptions are vague enough that it is nearly impossible to contest.
Before repairing any modern device, it would be a good idea to price a modern version, or a used version that is more modern than what you are repairing. In today’s throw-away society, sometimes it makes more to simply start with a new device. With that said, you should always weigh your options; throw it away or repair it.

When my iPod stopped taking a charge, I was not sure what to do with it. It was a fairly new version, just out of Apple’s warranty, so although I did not feel justified in replacing it, I also did not want to pay Apple to repair it. A friend suggested that I do what he did and send my iPod to iPodrefresh.com. With so many iPod repair sites to choose from, I was glad that I had a friend to suggest something as it was really hard to decide where to send my beloved music player.
Turns out, it was a good decision and one that I have had no reason to regret. In the past, when I have used other services, it took at least twice as long to repair and get my iPod back in my hands as it did with iPodrefresh. Not only that, but they did the repair right, and even though it has been some time since the repair, I have not had a single issue with my iPod taking a charge.

During my recent jogging workout, I managed to drop my iPod touch, and crack the screen. You can only imagine my irritation. The screen was cracked making it virtually unusable, it’s not like I had insurance on the thing so I wrote it off as a loss due to stupidity. Then a friend told me about iPodrefresh.com. This is a repair company that can fix your iPod at really low prices.
I went to the iPodrefresh.com website to see what it was all about, and was pleasantly surprised. They had my iPod listed, with a list of different parts that could be repaired. I followed the more info link, which gave me a list of problems I may have been experiencing with my iPod touch. I learned that my new screen would also come with a one year warranty.
The ability to send in my iPod saved me the hassle of driving and dropping it off and then returning to pick it up. My repaired iPod was delivered right to my door. I had the option to fix my iPod myself, but it was worth it to me to have a person who knew what they were doing fix it.

Ouch!
I was at the gym the other day and dropped my iPod off of the rack of the elliptical trainer I was on and when I picked it up I was absolutely devastated as my touch screen, while not shattered, had a large crack. I immediately called my friend who works at the apple store. While he did have to order a replacement screen since they were out of stock, it was here in no time and they replaced it for me right in the store. In case you aren’t as lucky as I to have a friend who works for the company, you can order replacement screens online along with downloading detailed instructions on how to replace the screen. Good luck!
