Anonymous sources within Apple have been telling the Internet and media outlets that the unveiling of the iPhone 5 will take place on October 4, 2011. This has yet to be confirmed by Apple publicly, though Apple has been known to keep events secret until just before they take place. If the unveiling of the iPhone 5 does take place when the rumors suggest, it will mark the longest period between iPhone launches in the history of the product.

The iPhone 4 was launched in March 2010, by then CEO Steve Jobs. Jobs has since retired from Apple, leaving new CEO Tim Cook to follow in his footsteps. This would be the first product launch that Jobs has not presented to the assembled audience in the past 15 years. The pressure is on Cook to entice consumers to purchase a new Apple product, even if he has admitted that he isn’t the showman that Jobs is.

The announcement of the iPhone 5 will answer some questions that have lingered, such as will Sprint also be receiving the iPhone 5, or a different version of the iPhone 4, as Verizon did in February. It will also be the first look at the hardware of the new iPhone, which has had varying rumors about the hardware contained within. These clarifications, along with a release date for purchase, have iPhone fans excited about the new product already. The more details that are released, the more the Internet will buzz about the new iPhone 5.

At the same time, it has been almost a year since the iPad 2 was launched. Keeping with the current release trends for Apple, this may be the time that Apple announces they are working on the iPad 3. It is possible that a new prototype will be available for the launch, letting those in attendance get a look at the next generation of the popular tablet device from Apple. As with the iPhone 5, the question of whether Sprint will receive the iPad 3 linger in the minds of consumers.

Hopefully, Apple will answer these questions in October.

No company has quite mastered the power of the rumor like the technology titan Apple. They have built a wildly zealous customer base and keep them continually on their toes with constant updates and release dates. Their most recent platform, the iPhone 5, has been built up for almost an entire year with rumors flying coming in from manufacturers around the world. For iPhone fanatics, there is finally some good news as Sprint announces they will be carrying the newest iPhone when it is released.

The original figures given by Apple hovered near a September 2011 release date for their iPhone 5, but this has been pushed back and forth as early as April 2011 and as late as February 2012. Thanks to Sprint’s press release, which claimed they will be carrying the next iPhone, late September seems to be a firm time frame for the iPhone 5.

There have even been rumors over the name of the iPhone 5, some claiming that it will in fact be the iPhone 4S, but there are a few features that fans will be able to look forward to. A Korean technology company has begun producing millions of flash drives for the next generation of iPhone, which means that owners will be treated with a staggering 8GB memory. The screens that have been reportedly been ordered from Southeast Asia are also much larger than the traditional iPhone 4 screens.

The question that is still on everyone’s mind is the battle over 4G. As the iPhone market sat firmly in the hands of AT&T, there was very little possibility of full 4G coverage for the iPhone 5. Luckily, as this new incarnation has transitioned into the realm of Verizon, and finally Sprint, the opportunity for 4G coverage is better than ever.

While Android remains the most widely used operating system, the iPhone takes the lead as the most popular phone on the market. For the countless fans that have been waiting since all the way back in 2010, it seems that the time for the iPhone 5 has finally arrived.

One of the most highly anticipated apps for the Apple iPad was briefly made available to a few lucky and tech-savvy users who took advantage of what appears to have been a mistake. The Facebook app for the iPad was hidden inside an update for Facebook’s update to its own app for the Apple iPhone.

Apple made version 3.4.4 of Facebook for the iPhone available for free on its App Store on Friday. The updated version was released to address several issues and bugs reported by Facebook users when using the app on the popular Apple smart phone. No one expected to find an iPad version of Facebook concealed within. It is widely believed that developers included the iPad version as part of a universal installer that automatically detects the device it is intended for.

An iPad must first be “jailbroken” before it can run the secret Facebook app. Then the user must load version 3.4.4 of the iPhone app and manually change the UIDeviceFamily setting. A few iPad owners who were successful on running the Facebook app were very impressed with the HTML5 coding and GUI navigation system. According to first-hand accounts and screenshots posted online by a few lucky iPad owners, the Facebook app is fully optimized to take advantage of the revolutionary Apple tablet.

Online reports mention the existence of an innovative and efficient sidebar that simplifies navigation. Unlike Facebook for the iPhone, the iPad’s interface allows chat windows to remain open and persistent while the user browses around what’s happening in the rest of his social network.

Several technology news media outlets reported on the accidental event after a computer engineering student in Canada shared his discovery on the Internet social messaging service Twitter. As this release was accidental rather than official, access to Facebook from iPads has already been disabled. Facebook has not commented on the matter, although the company had recently hinted that they were working on several new exciting products.

With Apple now looking at September 2011 for debuting the latest in the iPhone series, anticipation is seriously growing for just what might be coming next to thrill and delight the ever demanding smartphone market.

Other than the usual assurances that the cleverly titled Iphone 5 will be thinner, lighter and much more exciting than it’s previous incarnations, the handset itself will carry an 8 megapixel rear facing camera that should outdo the already excellent standard currently seen on the 5 megapixel version, boosting image resolution clearly into the ‘awesome’ category.

Having an upgraded processor is pretty much a given for any type of new hardware release, and the dual-core A5 that is currently used in the iPad 2 is also promised for the new iPhone, making it even more powerful than the iPhone 4.

Rumors are, however, still rife as to whether the 5 will have a curved glass display like the newer generation of iPods carry, and possibly even a rear flash separated from the camera lens on the other side of the case to cut back on that infamous photo red-eye found on iPhone 4 images.

With Apple releasing a new version of their operating system, iOS 5 at around the same time, it is anticipated that with features such as iMessage (which is set to rival the Blackberry Messenger) and the Notification Center (designed for keeping up to date with notifications from just about every imaginable social media and email system possible) as well as a host of others that have been asked for over the years, fingers and thumbs should keep tapping and sliding over the smoothly tactile and glossy screen for a long time to come, and this new iPhone should attract even most hardened users who have so far stuck by other systems.

So you’ve got yourself one of this year’s top gadgets, the uber stylish iPad. While not a necessity (is it a laptop, is it an e-reader?) the iPad’s definitely a luxury coveted by the tech obsessed. The main point of it, is a cool way to connect to the Internet on the go and, as with a Smartphone, you can use mobile broadband – but not through a dongle, like your laptop, or a traditional phone SIM.

iPad micro SIM

All that style means that unfortunately, iPad’s are low on connectivity ports, so there’s nowhere to put a USB dongle. What you need is an iPad micro SIM. Like a standard SIM it stores information, but at half the size of the one you put in your mobile. With the iPad SIM you’ll be able to access mobile broadband wherever you get a 3G signal. Once connected, you’re in for a great online experience, with a crystal-clear screen, excellent usability, plus lots of software and apps to further enhance your surfing pleasure.

Even if you’ve got an iPhone, the SIM for this won’t fit in your iPad, so don’t try! Before you rush to the shops to buy your iPad micro SIM, make sure your iPads a 3G version – it might be more pricey, but it’s worth spending the extra cash – without one you won’t be able to use mobile broadband to access the Internet phone, only Wi-Fi.

iPad SIM deals

There are a range of iPad SIM deals available, so make sure you get the best one to suit your needs. Some tie you in to a contract, others are pay monthly and some offer added bonuses, such as free access to the Times online.

Check the data allowance – if you want to download lots, you may consider topping this up, as if you exceed contracted usage, then you’re likely to pay a hefty price. As this is still a relatively new technology, there will be different deals coming on the market shortly, so keep up to date on comparison sites, like Broadband Genie. If you have an iPhone already, you may be able to add 3G for your iPad to an existing package – check with your provider for more information.

Once you’ve got your SIM card, insert into the slot provided and then connect to your Apple Mac or Windows PC. Open up iTunes, connect to the 3G service and follow the on-device instructions, or the guidelines supplied with the iPad SIM card.

If you buy an iPad and mainly use it at home, accessing your own Wi-Fi, then you might not need to go down the SIM card route. If situations change however, then that’s fine – you can sign-up to the 3G service at anytime, not just when you first buy the iPad. Access your iPad around the world

If you’re planning to travel with the iPad, apart from Wi-Fi hotspots, available pretty much anywhere in the world, you can also access 3G by purchasing a micro SIM card from a local network provider. Your UK deal or package is unlikely to cover accessing the Internet overseas – don’t be presumptuous or you could end up with very expensive bills. Check the terms and conditions of your provider before you jump on a plane.

They’re beautiful, desirable and pretty clever too – sounds like the ideal partner for anyone that’s looking for a no expense spared way to access the Internet on the go. Do away with the small screen on your Smartphone and forget the amount of space taken up by your laptop, get yourself an iPad and an iPad SIM to enjoy Apples latest craze practically anywhere in the world. .

With the new iPad 2 being shipped in February 2011, everyone’s wondering about the great new features that the iPad 2 will have. Once you read about what the iPad 2 offers, you will be at your nearest electronics store waiting to pre-order!

The current Apple iPhone enjoys Apple’s Retina Display. The Retina Display is a crisp, vibrant, high-definition screen that beats all other screens available today. The current iPad lacks the Retina Display, and it’s a great possibility that the iPad 2 will have a Retina Display. With a clearer display, people are sure to choose the iPad over competing models with lower screen quality.

Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, is known for claiming that the next iPad will be released before competitors have even caught up to the currently existing model. It’s rumored that the new iPad will offer a 7 inch screen size in addition to the current 9 inch screen size. This new screen size offers greater portability and also provides an opportunity for a lower-cost iPad. This opens the iPad market to more consumers who may not be able to afford the larger iPad.

FaceTime is another one of Apple’s great innovations. It’s currently available on the iPhone, Mac, and iPod Touch. FaceTime allows you to call anyone over WiFi and connect with them face to face. This addition would put the iPad on the same level as other Apple products and crush the competition.

With these great features, the iPad 2 will thrill consumers and blow away competitors.

The most popular mobile device on the market that is on everyone’s wishlist for the holiday season is the Apple iPhone 4. The fourth generation in the iPhone family, the iPhone 4 as everything a mobile users wants in a smartphone: 3G broadband Internet, a MP3 player with iPod functionality, video recording in HD, millions of apps to choose from to extend the iPhone to the next level.

The iPhone 4 introduces a few new features compared the the previous iPhone 3 and 3GS. The iPhone 4 is touted for having the popular Retina Display for the best screen quality on a phone in the market. Compared to the previous models, the Retina Display eliminates pixels from the screen and making reading text easy on the eyes, even in full sunlight.

Another new feature on the iPhone 4 is the FaceTime application. With FaceTime, an iPhone 4 user can participate with other users in a video conference using the iPhone 4′s new frontal camera. Unlike third-party apps that support video conferencing, FaceTime is only available on a Wi-Fi connection, but it does not stop the fun of FaceTime.

The biggest feature of the iPhone 4 is in fact a most requested feature since the release of the first iPhone is the ability to switch between applications. With the new iOS 4 iPhone operating system, apps can be switched back and fourth: whether it is leaving a game to read an important e-mail, or changing the song on a music app to reading the latest headlines in another app, it can now be done.

With all these exciting features, it is obvious to see why the iPhone 4 is the hottest item for Christmas. Buying a iPhone 4 for that special someone can be the best gift of the year, if not ever, especially for smartphone and technology enthusiasts.

Due to Apple’s resounding success with its iPad, electronics makers have been scrambling to get their feet into the doors of the tablet market. The Galaxy Tab represents Samsung’s foray into the sector and offers functionality and style wrapped up into one attractive offering. Upon initial inspection, one notices that the Galaxy Tab is significantly smaller in size and weight than its Apple counterpart. But, even though it is small in stature, the device packs quite a punch.

For many people, the smaller size of the Galaxy Tab will be an advantage over the iPad. The tablet will certainly not fit into a person’s pocket, but it is easily more portable and lighter to carry than the iPad. People who are on the go a lot will appreciate this fact after toting it around for a while.

At its heart, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is powered by a 1 GHz processor, which is more than enough to run the latest apps. Also, the tablet runs on Google’s mobile operating system called Android 2.2, or Froyo. One advantage of running the Android operating system is that the Galaxy Tab has phone capabilities unlike the iPad. In addition, the Galaxy Tab also supports Flash Player, allowing users to play flash movies, which cannot be done on an iPad without jail breaking it.

Another advantage that the Samsung Galaxy has over the iPad is that it has two built in cameras. The Galaxy has a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera as well as a 3 megapixel rear camera that is self focusing. The rear camera also has an LED flash. In comparison, the iPad does not have a built in camera, instead requiring owners to buy a separate attachment.

The Apple iPad has stormed onto the scene, and most people would be hard-pressed to name just one other tablet device that preceded it. In fact, even today, the Apple iPad has dominated the market, and anyone else trying to gain a foothold in that space is looking up at Mount Everest.

Because of the huge demand for the iPad (3G or WIFI), Apple is able to charge a higher amount for their products.

As a downside, this makes repairing a broken Apple iPad all the more realistic, because often getting an iPad fixed is going to be cheaper than tossing it out and buying a new one.

Sites can be found on the net that perform iPad repairs, but you have to make sure you find a company like refresh-repair.com (located at www.ipodrefresh.com) who is familiar with the Apple iPad and who can complete the repair in a timely manner and in a way that makes the device look like brand new again.

One interesting thing about the iPad is that, if the screen breaks, sometimes the soft aluminum body can get dented, too. This can make it challenging to put the device back together again with new digitizer screen, but if your iPad repair crew has it together, they can surmount that issue as well and make the iPad look like brand new again.
