Apple iPhone technical support is flooded with complaints and concerns from customers wondering why the batteries in their iPhones no longer live up to their standards.
The complaints first arrived after iPhone released it’s 3.0 software. iPhone users began to complain that their batteries didn’t last as long as before, many reporting that they must recharge mid-day. Unfortunately, the problem has only worsened since the additional release of 3.1 software by Apple, and customers are only becoming more frustrated, calling the battery life “unacceptable”.
The problem has expanded so dramatically that Apple has a support forum dedicated to battery problems of the iPhone on their web site.
To respond to these concerns, Apple has requested that all users encountering battery life issues fill-out and submit an 11-item questionnaire about their usage of the iPhone. Apple has stated that they suspect that those customers with complaints are actually heavy application users. They noted, however, that they won’t know that for sure until data is compiled and analyzed.
In addition to the questionnaire, users are further requested to install power-logging software into their iPhones in order to measure usage and the possible causes of extreme battery drainage.
